The focal point of all communities in France is the Mairie or Town Hall! The Elected Officials and Staff provide the Administrative and Services functions for Towns and Villages which includes Tourism activities! In most instances the Mairie (sometimes referred to as the Hotel de Ville which can be confusing for English speakers) has a website which provides a valuable insight into the workings of the Community and invariably has information for Tourists with regards to Public Amenities and Events such as Markets!
