What is the purpose of the Dordogne Travel Guide?
There are many excellent official guides to the Dordogne and its adjoining Departments to the extent that is sometimes difficult for visitors to the area to focus on where to look for the information they need! The Guide tries to pull together as an overview, much of that information as possible and point visitors in the right direction!
What are the benefits of Registering on the website?
By Registering, you can create your own Dashboard of favourite Listings such as Gites and Restaurants where you can leave Reviews and Ratings.
Can I contribute to the Guide?
We’d love you to add photos of any Dordogne experiences that you would like to share. We have the ‘Friends of The Dordogne’ Group on FriendsLive specifically for this. You can join the Group by visiting FriendsLive and Registering.
Business Owners
My business isn’t Listed! What should I do?
As long as you have a website or Facebook Page you can simply add your Listing by selecting from the ‘Pricing Plans’. Firstly, Register to the website and create a Profile then to get started, choose the ‘Free Listing’ which offers a basic Listing with an Image, Location, Description and a weblink! Or… sign-up for one of the paid annual Plans which offers more comprehensive image and information options for your business page!
I have found my free Listing! How to I claim it?
Firstly, Register to the website and create a profile and Login. Then just click the button on your Listing which will take you to the ‘Pricing Plans’ and you can make your selection. If you select the ‘Free Listing’, it will enable you to edit your Listing. If you select one of the Paid Plans, once payment has cleared, your Listing will be approved as ‘Claimed’ and you will be free to populate it within the limits of the plan!
I can’t find a Category or Tags that suit my type of business?
No problem! Just contact us by the Contact Form and we’ll set it up for you!
Is the Payment System Secure?
We use Stripe which is the new Standard in Online Payment Systems.
I can’t seem to Register with my Login details?
The Guide uses WordPress as its core system and if you have another WordPress based login it wont work on this website so create one specifically for the Dordogne Travel Guide.
