Getting There!

Motorhomes and Caravans

France is very welcoming of Motorhomes (Camping Vans) and the Dordogne and Lot Regions are no exception! Our Motorhome, ‘Angelique’, has taken us safely from Scotland for many years and its 7m length is easily accommodated on campsites and in most Towns and Villages. Parking is never an issue whether its to visiting an attraction or stocking up at the numerous supermarkets such as Carrefour or Intermarché. Its a long tow for caravaners but this should not put you off as the rewards of having your own car to explore are self-explanatory. It is important to plan your route carefully to be cost and time efficient as all Motorhome and Caravan owners will know but I have provided some ideas for those venturing to the Dordogne perhaps for the first time! Check out our favoured route!

Flying

If you want to get there quickly, the Region is well-served by Bergerac and Limoges Airports. Its small but well supported by Airlines and by several car-hire companies. It has regular connections to: Birmingham, Bristol, Charleroi-Brussels, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Rotterdam and Southampton. Find out more!

By Train

The region is served by TGV, Inter-City and a network of local train services with Bordeaux and Brive-la-Gailarde as hubs. Check out the Dordogne Rail Network page for more detailed information and links!
